WOMEN IN PRISON: is the second in a series of books about women in prison; their relationships with partners, children, and parents; everyday life in prison; the experience of women from minority groups; and the reentry process.
It also provides recommendations on how to improve prison conditions and what prisons can do to better prepare women to adjust to life after prison and have a better life. It includes some information about women in jails, too.
The chapters in this second book in the series includes the following topics:

- Violence and abuse in prison

- Recreation in prison
- The role of religion in prison.
A future book will feature the stories of a dozen women from different backgrounds and their experience before, during, and after prison.
