FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Today, the bipartisan battle is becoming more divisive than ever and threatens to destroy America and our very democracy. In turn, this conflict is based on the many divisions in America between the races, genders, haves and have-nots, North and South, Middle America and the Coasts, liberals and conservatives, and more.

You name it, and there is a controversy and debate that often escalates into violence, and this conflict is undermining our relationships with other countries. Increasingly, they are wary of dealing with the United States as a reliable predictable partner. It is as if the world is watching the United States and seeing boxing matches all over the country, as different groups battle other groups with opposing ideas.

What can we do to overcome this growing crisis? In response, criminal justice expert and commentator on American society Paul Brakke, author and publisher of American Leadership Books, has come up with a program of suggestions and recommendations to ameliorate this divisiveness. The program consists of a white paper, video and PowerPoint presentations, and a collection of video shorts, which highlight what is wrong and what to do about it.

For the past month, Brakke has been sending these advisory packages to the media, politicians, educators, and academics, and has received letters with praise for his efforts from President Donald Trump and Senator Tom Cotton, from his home state of Arkansas.

“We have to heal this divisiveness,” Brakke says. “And we have to do it now, because the protests and counter-protests from different groups are growing larger and spreading. In fact, there are social media posts urging massive protests on 9/11.

These protests are already convulsing our country, and they are threatening our economy and relationships with other countries, because they see this turmoil undermining our world leadership.”

In response, Brakke has been creating these programs on what we should do to overcome the national divides, which are exacerbating many other problems in America, because different groups have different proposed solutions on what to do. For example, these groups have recommended different ways to deal with the huge immigration problem at our border, and they propose different approaches to help the many thousands of victims of opioid abuse.

The videos in the series provide a visual introduction to the problems which Brakke presents in a series of PowerPoints and white papers. Now there are three videos on overcoming the national divides, which are part of a series of 13 videos on how to resolve other key issues, including improving citizen-police relations and dealing with immigration and opioid crisis

The videos in the national divides series include the following:

In each video, Brakke discusses the problem and then suggests what to do about it.  In making these observations and recommendations to overcome the national divides, Brakke has drawn on more than five years of research on the U.S. criminal justice system and divisions in America society.  He has then written about these issues in nine books which include most recently: Fractured America, Crime in America, and Uncertain Justice.

He offers a unique conservative approach to crime, criminal justice, and American society, based on applying an economic business model. The goal is to do what works most efficiently to reduce costs and create more productive citizens.

All of the videos for his program are available on the American Leadership Books’ YouTube channel The whole program of videos, PowerPoints, and white papers will also be available on the American Leadership Books’ website in August.
